Authorizing children to travel alone without the company of an adult represents a great responsibility. An Unaccompanied Minor (UM) is in the Operator's custody until its delivery upon arrival at the destination of the adult  responsible.

It is considered as a UM anyone between 5 years old and a young adult. In this case they must be boarded before all passengers and disembarked last.

The cabin crew will ensure that all the respective paperwork is delivered by the traffic agent, this paperwork must be delivered to the person in charge of accompanying the child since departure until arriving at the destination.

Likewise, the cabin crew will be directly responsible from the moment they receive the UM until the UM is given to a responsible adult, for this reason they must be placed in the nearest seat so the cabin crew have direct contact with the minor.
